Being a summer camp in the Poconos, PA, doesn’t mean we are just open in the summer! We are open in the winter as Trout Lake, and we are working year round preparing for the upcoming summer!
Trout Lake Events keep us busy with winter themed weddings and banquet dinners. Trout Lake User Groups love the snow and picture postcard setting. Our close proximity to area ski resorts like Camelback, Jack Frost, Big Boulder, and Shawnee make us the perfect group destination for group ski outings.
Amongst all of the events and groups, we are preparing for summer most of all! Our directors are traveling the world in search of the best staff. Our office is organizing forms, payments, roommate requests, and all the other details involved in making sure your camp week is a success. Our graphic designer is purchasing different products for the canteen, and keeping everyone up-to-date on our social media. Every member of our full-time team is consciously working with summer as the end goal in mind.
We also renovate and explore new options for the summer during these winter months. The IXTC Village, the Boathouse deck, and the Waterfront docks were all previous winter projects that have made a large impact on the camper experience. We’ve also discovered things such as bubble soccer and key log rolling in this time as well.
Winter at ISTC builds up to the summertime excitement and we are already counting down the days until the start of a new season. Have a wonderful holiday season and we will see you next year!
