Sports Sessions at ISTC

Sports are the basis of everything we do at ISTC. From traditional sports such as soccer, basketball, and lacrosse to adventure sports such as jet skiing, rock climbing, and mountain biking, our campers spend the majority of their day playing with friends and learning new things.

 

Every camper is part of an All-Sports team, which is co-ed, 20-25 campers total, and led by two of our coaching staff. Each team has a unique schedule to follow, and every team does every activity just at different day or time during the week.

 

 

The All-Sports teams come together three times a day and we call these times sports sessions. Sports sessions run from 9:15 – 11:30 am, 3:00 – 5:00 pm, and 6:15 – 8:00 pm and are home to the multitude of sports we offer:

Baseball / Softball

Dodgeball

Floor Hockey

Beach Volleyball

Zip Lining

Giant Swing

High Ropes Challenge Course

The sports sessions can either be a single sport, multiple sports, or even feature created games. All of our coaches have backgrounds in physical education or sports science and we encourage them to use their experience to keep their sessions fresh and exciting.

 

Most of all, we strive for our campers to have fun in our sport sessions. Instead of the just the standard scrimmaging, our coaches teach and play sport using variations and smaller sided games. The creativity of our coaches fuels the All-Sports program and has even lead to the invention of games that get passed down from year to year. Hunger Games, Make it Rain, and Steal the Bacon are a few that have become tradition.

 

Sports sessions are truly the place to play sports in a positive environment, learn life skills, make new friends, and have the best time of the summer!
