Every June, the first day of camp is a celebration of two years at once! The first day marks the return of campers and all of the ISTC excitement – jet skiing, banana boating, ropes course, mountain biking, and team sports to name a few! It also signals the start of registration for the following summer!
With registration opening over a full year in advance on the first day of camp, we are incredibly thankful to have such an excited community. The weeks of mid-July to mid-August will traditionally fill before the summer months conclude. We understand it makes signing up outside of this window feel last minute, so this month’s blog will cover need to know information about signing up for camp during the rest of the year.
Same Opportunities Each Week
As a single week, overnight experience, our sessions are designed to see and do everything from start to finish in 7 day’s time. Each session shares the same activity schedule, filled with adventure sports like jet skiing and rock climbing, to team sports like soccer and basketball. The sessions even share the same structure for cabin-of-the-week, our recreation program built around full-camp competitions. While themes change week to week to give multi-week campers a unique feel, each session offers the same activities, staff, and facilities – just at a different time on the calendar!
Accommodating Cabin Assignments & Sports Groups
One of the most prominent concerns we hear from families focuses on cabins and sports groups: does signing up later than friends prevent them from being together?
No! Signing up later than friends does not impact cabin assignments or sports groups. We can link everyone up, regardless of enrollment date, so that small groups of friends can experience everything we have to offer – together.
We are designed with flexibility in mind, as families can switch their week to a different available one at any time during the year. This option is perfect for first-time families looking to link up with friends who registered previously; new families can sign up, registered families can switch, and we can organize our groups with all changes in mind.
Active Discounts for All Families
While the summer hosts the largest early registration discount for all families, we have several others that extend throughout the year – since it is normal to sign up throughout the year!
Here’s a look at noticeable discounts that are still active for the 2025 season:
- $100 1st-time discount (active all year long)
- $200 end of summer discount (applies to Week 9, August 17th, to celebrate the end of another awesome season)
We also offer various checkout options to work around sports, vacations, and other summertime commitments. All weeks begin on Sunday, and families can pick between Friday, Saturday, or Sunday checkout. Regardless of week or checkout day, we are confident campers will leave with memories and life skills!
