We pride ourselves on our excellent reputation for safety, athletic excellence, great staff, high quality facilities, and professionalism. We train all of our staff to follow in these footsteps to ensure the tradition at ISTC continues. All ISTC staff must be age 21 or over.
International Sports Training Camp is located alongside our beautiful and private 100-acre Trout Lake. In the heart of northeastern Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountains, the 500-acre facility forms the perfect setting for a summer camp.
ISTC is one and a half hours west of New York City and two hours north of Philadelphia.
ISTC hosts 260 campers each week. Our campers are ages 8 to 17, and come from a broad scope of socio-economic backgrounds. Most of our campers come from New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Campers sign up for a week at a time to attend our soccer program or our fantastically popular All Sports program. We also offer a sport and adventure camp for kids ages 15 to 17.
Staff are housed in lakeside cabins that are nestled among tall pines and offer beautiful views of Trout Lake. Each one of our modern cabins contains full bathrooms. Most cabins have a tv with a dvd/vcr, and select cabins have full kitchens. All staff have access to the internet.
Staff receive one day off per week. We provide transportation into town so staff can relax or go explore the local area, get a bite to eat, see a movie, or go shopping at the huge outlet mall. Staff also choose to travel on their day off because major cities are nearby.
During the day, each staff member is given at least 2 hours of free time to refresh. All staff are welcome to use the camp's amazing facilities. That means everything from lounging on our sandy beach to playing sports on one of our many athletic fields, to taking a dip in our private lake!
Dates of Employment: The summer camp season runs from June 13 to August 24, 2012.
Minimum Requirements: All staff must be age 21 or older.
ISTC is a non-smoking camp and has a strict policy on drugs, alcohol, and all matters of personal behavior.
Each summer ISTC employs over 100 staff members in a variety of positions. We are looking for camp counselors, coaches, lifeguards, ropes course and mountain bike instructors, athletic trainers, food service staff, and so much more!
