CIT Program

Calling all previous ISTC campers who are at least 17 years old and looking to work hard and impact kids positively this summer! If being a counselor at ISTC is something that you think you are passionate about, then you might be a good match for our counselor-in-training (CIT) program.

When you go through the transition of being a previous camper to a CIT, it is both an incredible opportunity and an awesome responsibility. In order to be considered for a CIT position, applicants must be at least 17 years of age and have been an ISTC camper for at least two years. Our accepted CITs all show that they really want to work with kids and demonstrate responsibility and maturity. If you enter the CIT program, you’re taking your game to the next level, so unfortunately you can’t be a camper in that same year.

To apply to be a CIT, you will fill out an application during your last week of camp. As a heads up, we want you to know that the CIT program is very competitive. With so many fantastic campers applying, and many CITs returning every year, there are only a few slots available.

If you are selected as a CIT, you will be notified by October. All CITs must attend a mandatory orientation in June to learn the ropes of what it takes to be a CIT. CIT’s do not have to pay for camp, instead we pay you!
