  • International Sports Training Camp is located alongside our beautiful and private 100-acre Trout Lake. In the heart of northeastern Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountains, the 500-acre facility is situated among tall pines. The lake, mountains, and wooded environments provide breathtaking views and form the perfect setting for a summer camp.

  • ISTC's cabins are situated lakeside and feature decks that overlook Trout Lake. Our modern cabins all have individual bathroom and shower facilities.

Campers are placed into cabins by age group. There is no more than a two year age difference in each cabin.

Finally, all cabins are staffed by live-in counselors who take an active role in each campers's day to ensure that each child gets the most from their camp experience!

  • One of the most common questions people ask is "How's the food?". Overwhelmingly our campers respond that it's great!

We understand how important it is to serve quality food with a variety of choices. We also understand food allergies and are happy to accommodate for nut, lactose and gluten allergies. We do not use peanut oil or any nut products in the food we serve. Additionally, our chef has completed the "GREAT" (Gluten-Free Resource Education and Training Program) that is run by the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness. If your child does have food allergies, we recommend calling the office (570) 620-2267 to speak to our chef.

All our meals are served buffet style and you may eat as much as you like! Breakfast includes a choice of hot items, juice, toast and a variety of cold cereals. For every lunch and dinner, a loaded salad bar enhances the main menu. Some sample menu items are listed below...

  • The boathouse got it's name because it was once used as a . . . you guessed it, a boathouse. We remodeled and converted it into our lakeside camper hangout and canteen (camp store).

Tongue and groove cedar walls and a hardwood floor add to its rustic appeal. It is spacious and comfortable, and the huge decks off the back are a favorite place for campers to relax and watch the lake activities.

For those rainy days, our boathouse features a large screen TV, VCR and DVD player and plenty of space for indoor activities.

  • Our stone bar is located just outside the dining hall and serves as ISTC's outdoor cookout area. It was built in a timber-frame style with camp hemlock and pine trees, along with ten tons of stone. The bar is 28 x 12 feet, with a six foot barbeque built right in. The stone bar is used every night for cookouts, and every Wednesday afternoon for camp snack.

  • We have two sets of beautiful playing fields. Our upper fields are lined by pine trees and are used for baseball, softball, soccer, lacrosse, flag football, and so much more! The all sports fields are larger than two football fields and are used by all sports campers and soccer campers.

  • The entire camp lines our 100-acre lake and our waterfront is its focal point. Trout Lake is a private lake and is only accessible to our campers. Every day campers have the opportunity to participate in lake activities. Some of the activities include swimming, jet skiing, waterskiing, banana boating, blobbing, kayaking, paddle boating, climbing the iceberg and bouncing on the water trampoline. There is something for everyone!

  • At 17,000 square feet, the fieldhouse is our largest gymnasium. The fieldhouse contains three regulation basketball and/or volleyball courts. It is used for daily sports sessions, for rainy days, and for afternoon and evening recreation events.

  • The all-sports pavilion is tucked into the wooded surroundings of the camp and serves as a multi purpose facility. The 9000 square foot building is used predominantly by our all sports program but also serves as the departure point for our mountain biking trail rides. In addition, the lighted pavilion is utilized for rainy day activities and afternoon and evening recreation events.

  • The ISTC climbing tower is landscaped right into the woods amongst an oasis of ferns and pine trees. The tower was erected in 2006 is one of the most innovative designs in the camping industry. The 35 foot high tower has three walls of varying difficulty, including a challenging overhang. Campers may choose to climb the wall faces or tackle the cargo net. Once at the top, campers are rewarded by an exhilarating ride on the zip line.

For those who enjoy high adventure, ISTC offers a Giant Swing and a 30 foot high Leap of Faith. For the summer of 2011, ISTC has built a new five element integrated high ropes course. All of these high elements are sure to bring both challenges and thrills!

The ISTC Team Adventure Course surrounds the climbing tower and encompasses six low ropes elements. The All Sports campers participate in these team building activities where they learn about group communication, trust and leadership.

  • The health center was built in 2009 and this eco-friendly building offers the best in camp health care! It is strategically located in the center of camp. It is staffed by a live in registered nurse and athletic trainers. The camp nurse treats campers and dispenses all medications. The athletic trainers assess any athletic injuries.

The health center is stocked with over-the-counter medicines and is equipped with an AED and oxygen in case of any emergency. There are also golf carts dedicated to the health center so staff may respond immediately.
