Mark Major and Kara Klaus-Major have been directing International Sports Training Camp for the past 15 years. Both Kara and Mark grew up in camping. Mark's aunt and uncle directed YMCA Camp Bernie, and Kara's family owns and operates both International Sports Training Camp and International Gymnastics Camp.

Mark and Kara love what they do and take a very 'hands on' approach. You will frequently see them out and about with both campers and staff. Mark majored in Health and Physical Education, and is a former school teacher. Mark attends and speaks at American Camp Association (ACA) Camp Conferences and is a certified ACA Accreditation Visitor of other camps. Mark and Kara also serve on the ACA Pennyslvania Board as Education Chairs.

In 2004, Mark and Kara were awarded the CCUSA Camp Director of the Year award. This award recognized their excellence in hosting staff from around the world and providing them with the opportunity to impact American youth.

Finally, Mark and Kara are responsible for all the animals on the camp property - literally! Mark is a Pennsylvania Deputy Game Commissioner and they both are active in animal rescue and animal fostering programs.
